McClellan’s Bayonet Manual

Finally, we are able to offer a great hand-bound reproduction of McClellan\’s Bayonet Exercise. Before the Civil War began, George McClellan traveled to France to study that country\’s military. He transcribed their bayonet exercises into what became the standard United States Army manual for the bayonet. In Kautz\’s Company Clerk, he mentions 5 books that were issued to officers. Those 5 were Tactics (Casey\’s), Regulations, Bayonet Exercise, Outpost, and Target Practice. We currently offer three of these, and eventually hope to have all 5 in production. This outstanding work contains 106 pages and 25 plates (illustrations). A must have for any Union officer, now available once again. Don\’t put that modern-looking bayonet exercise in your camp, display a fine reproduction, hand bound just like the originals.
