Dime Cricket and Football
$10.00
- Description
Published in May of 1860, at the same time as the Ball Room Companion, this booklet explains the rules of Cricket and Football (Soccer). The book contains rules for both games because both can be played on similar field dimensions. It includes diagrams of the Cricket field and equipment, suggestions for bowling techniques, and even how to bet on the game. The football rules show a very different field than the modern pitch, and includes the suggestions that a fields should be at least 80 yards long, but should not be bigger than 200 yards long by 100 yards wide.
