British Officer’s Commission While some British officer’s commissions have stamps and seals affixed, the original copied to make this commission does not. We believe peacetime commissions have the stamps and seals because they were filled out and then signed by the King. Wartime ones were signed by the King while blank, to be filled out later. We believe that because the commissions were signed while incomplete, no seals were affixed. We have seen 3 original commissions; two are without stamps and seals of any kind.
